How it worksType a hex code, sample it straight from a photo, pick a real catalog shade, or reuse a color already saved in one of your palettes. It becomes the exact target the engine will try to reproduce.
- Closest shade — the nearest single pot available from your supplier, used as-is, no mixing. Careful: depending on your target color, this shade can still be quite far from what you're after.
- 2-paint mix — two catalog paints combined to get closer.
- 3-paint mix — three paints combined, for the closest precision.
- From my stock — the best shade or mix using only the paints you already own.
The small wheel above your results switches between these options, and shows several ranked proposals each time — never a single imposed answer.
The engine simulates how paints actually behave once mixed, and explores a wide range of possible ratios for each combination, keeping only the recipes that truly get close to your color.
Every result is scored with ΔE2000, the scientific reference measure for color difference — a gap under ΔE 3.0 is almost invisible to the eye. Browse several ranked proposals, from the most faithful to the simplest, and pick the one that suits you.
